K2…a new direction in representation

Kelly and Kristine formed K2 after being owners of LINC LLC for 10 years.  K2 came to life with the idea that there was more to representing than showing product every season.  It has become imperative that as representatives, we share any knowledge that can help clients and designers succeed in their business.  Acting as consultants in all aspects of representation is now more important than ever.  It is a combined effort between vendors, reps, and designers to complete projects.  It is with this in mind that Kelly and Kristine hope to be a conduit between all three avenues to create these successes.  Through sourcing, web design, representation and information they strive to give every designer the ability to be the Pinnacle of interior design.

Kelly Hennessey-Helson

Kelly’s career has traveled from New Jersey to Singapore.  She has been a representative for the last 12 years handling lines such as Jim Thompson, Osborne and Little, and Dedar, to the simplistic everyday lines of Dogwood Fabrics as well as many furniture and lighting lines.  Before this Kelly was working in showrooms in Chicago like SummerHill; and acting as Operations Manager for companies such as Laura Ashley Home.    Her design knowledge was imprinted upon her while studying in Singapore, and before that at Trinity University in Washington D.C.  Her vast knowledge of the interior design industry has helped many of her clients achieve their goals for successful designer to  client relationships.  Kelly still maintains small interior design projects staying involved in the day-to-day tasks so she can support her clients and their needs and keep her creative side in check.

Kristine Altman

Kristine’s background in design began after college in Washington D.C. at the International School for Interior Design and finished at New York School for Interior Design.  It was at this point she began her career with Ralph Lauren and ran their in home design program, and then was asked by Laura Ashley Home to head up their interior design program. She became their media representative for television shows like Oprah and Kitty Bartholemew, as well as doing editorial work for magazines such as Creative Walls and Windows, Brides magazines and Home and Garden.  It was 15 years ago when Kristine decided to step away from doing interior design work, and stepped into the world of representing some of the industries top vendors like Nobilis, Jim Thompson, Christopher Norman, Zimmer and Rhode and Osborne and Little as well as other furniture and lighting manufacturers.  This allowed her to stay in front of the things she knew best, and continue to help the design industry with her background.  Kristine takes on the small design project when time allows in order to use some of the extraordinary product she now represents.
